Who we are
Easy AIOU is an independent student helper for Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU). We are not the university, not affiliated with AIOU, and not enrollment.aiou.edu.pk.
What data we collect
With your consent, when you sign in we may store and display:
- Your AIOU student ID and portal login (used once to fetch records, or when you refresh)
- Results, grades, and semester status
- Admit cards and result files we download from the portal on your behalf
- Fee and enrollment status (next-semester fee checks)
- Profile details shown on the portal (name, program, tutors, tickets, assignments)
- Your WhatsApp number (for login codes and service alerts)
Why we use it
We use this data only to run the service you asked for: a simpler dashboard on your phone, WhatsApp alerts, and support. We do not sell your data.
Where it is stored
Data is stored on our secure server (VPS) in a private database. Files such as admit cards may also be hosted on Cloudinary so you can download them quickly on mobile.
We send one-time login codes to the number you provide. With an active plan, we may send service alerts to the same number. You can update your number in Profile. Message delivery depends on Meta WhatsApp Cloud API.
Your choices
- You choose when to connect your AIOU account — we do not access the portal without your sign-in.
- You can sign out anytime from the app.
- You can delete your account and associated portal data from Profile → Delete account. This removes your Easy AIOU account; it does not change anything at AIOU itself.
